Opinion: Prince of Persia – The Forgotten Sands

Written by Simon Lundmark and published September 24, 2010

Having shown us a glimpse of a new, almost surreal universe and a sprawling, speedy take on the Prince in 2008, Ubi returns to the antics of last gen royalty in order to woo the hardcore lamenting the dearth of game over screens.

Funnily enough, still entirely without game over screens.

And we’re live!

Written by Simon Lundmark and published September 22, 2010

Well, technically we’ve been live all along, but this is the first post that assumes (by me, the assumee) that M7 is a fully functional site worth putting original content on. It’s spartan, it’s basic, it doesn’t have all those newfangled features that sites generally have since five or so years back, but it’ll do.

First off I just wanna point out that all of our prior Opinions from the old site have now been uploaded and converted to our new layout. I’m still working on a new interface for our comics and for now that still links offsite to our blogger account, and the same is the case for our features section which currently only houses our CreamWatch REWIND 2009 winners. Those things will fall into place shortly however and original content is being worked on by us both right now.

On monday there’ll be the first monday post in little over four months, which will hopefully bring order back into all of our lives. We’re smack in the middle of the warm up to october and november’s release explosions, and have already been greeted with both the Sony Move and Bungie’s Halo swansong Reach. Opinion of the latter will go up soonish.

So yes, it’s a potent time to start updating again, and compelling content shouldn’t be too hard to produce with things like Call of Duty: Black Ops, Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood and DJ Hero 2 around the corner. Man the anticipation is making me drool a little and blink irratically with one eye. Sexxxy.

A few years ago, no one would have ever thought that the Xbox 360 would become the console to have if you were looking to play Japanese Role-Playing Games. Even now, as time goes on, more JRPGs keep getting announced as Microsoft try and use the force of this genre to push its market share [...]

Opinion: Monster Hunter Freedom Unite

If you were living in Japan right now, then you’d most likely know of the Monster Hunter franchise. It’s a huge phenomenon over there, with something like 8 million copies in the franchise sold. What’s even crazier is that the latest edition for the PSP, Monster Hunter Freedom Unite (Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G as [...]

Opinion: Disgaea 2 PSP

Written by Dominic Sheard and published

There’s no doubt that Disgaea is one of Nippon Ichi Software’s most popular franchises at the moment. With three titles in the main series already out, a few ports to other platforms and now the announced of Disgaea 4, it doesn’t seem that the franchise is leaving anywhere fast. Back in 2007 Nippon Ichi released [...]

Opinion: Darksiders

Written by Dominic Sheard and published

Imagine a scenario in your head. There’s Legend of Zelda in one hand and God of War in another. If you put those two in bed together (Zelda and Kratos sex, ewww), what would you spawn out? The answer is Darksiders, created from a rather new studio called Vigil Games. Taking control of War, one [...]
